A: Save your PDF in the page order for your finished document. Inkworks imposes double sided pages top to top, which means that the top of the first page will be on the back of the second page.

Q: Do I need crop marks?

A: Don't add crop marks unless you want to do your own trimming

Q: Can I get full bleed?

A: Yes, don't leave white space around the edges, unless it’s part of the design A: But also don’t expect text to print nearer than 10mm from the edges

Q: How do I get the best colour results?

A: Use saturated colours and use patterns A: Avoid large areas of flat colours or gradients since they tend to band on our digital press A: Avoid large areas of pale tints with low colour saturation because there’s > 5% variance on a colour A: Don't expect spot colours or coloured stock

Q: Do I set my PDF artwork to RGB or CYMK?

A: Always default to CYMK

Q: How do I set up my JPG’s?

A: The best JPG resolution is 300 dpi A: Keep your JPG file sizes to under ½ MB; bigger file sizes will work fine, but take longer to upload and preview but probably not give you any better results A: JPG’s should be CMYK

Q: How do I set up a Booklet?

A: Booklets are simply folded documents – stapled if selected. The maximum number of pages we support is 52-pages. Just upload the pages in order from 1 onwards. Inkworks will set up your pages in the correct order. There are two types of booklets, left fold and top fold.
